With regards to the major problems in the Maldives such as Waterfloods, waste and uncultivatable land I thought why we don’t see this as one issue and try to solve them all at ones. So I designed the FAH “Farming AgriHouse”. I Designed a floating house built on 3d printed modular recycled plastic waste filled with crushed waste glass for the weight. On top of it is based a lightweight structure of coconut wood. The floating islands are self-sustainable, they create freshwater and it creates enough vegetables for a few households.

– Waste (glass and plastic): is used for building the floating islands
– Waterfloods: is solved by building on water. The building can react to the water level.
– Uncultivatable land: is solved by soil free farming.
