The strategy for this design is dealing with the waste on a regional scale instead of a local scale, which makes materials more circular in the Laamu Atoll. By doing so, collaboration between islands is improved which makes them more independent. This is done by creating a waste centre that is combined with various industries that process the waste into products and by creating a platform that redistributes and sells it to regional or even global market. This design tries to combine the different needs of all its conflicting functions in an efficient way while being sustainable and worth to visit for future tourists.
