My idea for this master 1 Extreme project is to show the possibilities of agriculture on the Maldives. Since the Maldives is full of islands I chose  to build on water and show the potentials of the surrounding environment including the waste materials.

Fertile land is becoming less and less because of climate change and lack of nutrition’s in the soil. I want to create a building that acts like a tree that is not only growing crops and is made out of local materials, but also to become a meeting place for the locals where they can reflect on their day. I want to create a sense of community while connecting with nature and celebrate water as the most important element.

The ultimate goal is to foster a new way of agriculture with a more efficient use of the local environment. This new architecture will offer the community a playful, enjoyable way of agriculture outside the boundaries of traditional methods.
